SAO PAULO - Camila Bandeira Peixoto, 28, crew of the ship MSC Musica, was found dead with signs of strangulation inside his cabin on the morning of Sunday, when the liner returned to port of Santos on a cruise of seven nights.

According to the Federal Police (PF) for the case, Sandro Pataro, the victim's body was found by his companion, also crew. In two statements given to the PF, he said he left for work about 7am and when he returned to the cabin at 9:50 to smoke, Camila already found lifeless. In his version, she had hanged herself with a sheet tied around the tube air-conditioning. Both worked in the bar of the ship. Pataro said he "did not feel strongly" in the statements of her husband.

Were also heard the commander, the deputy and two doctors. The statements reinforce the hypothesis that Camilla was murdered .

- People who were in the cabin found after the death said they had seen the water - said the delegate.

Given the suspicion, the companion of the victim was prevented from proceeding with the next crew of the cruise ship, which sailed in the late afternoon on Sunday.

- He is in Santos. As a precaution, I will still send a request to the judge to prevent the crew leave the country and also go to another journey of music.

" The awards will talk a lot. Through them, we know the information hit "

Camila's husband is treated so far as ascertained by the police. The possibility of suicide is investigated. The police is now awaiting the reports of experts and the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) for more details about the case.

- The awards will talk a lot. Through them, we know the information hit - says Sandro Pataro.

Family Camila informally told the delegate that the couple had a history of fights. The husband told police that they knew 13 years ago, but had a series of disruptions in the period.

Sought, MSC Cruises, operator of the MSC Musica, said it would rule only after the release of the reports.
